Why isn’t my Huddly L1 or S1 camera detected on macOS Sequoia?

We’re aware of an issue affecting Huddly L1 and S1 cameras when used with the Huddly Network Adapter (model H3BA) on macOS Sequoia. Due to a compatibility issue with newer versions of macOS Sequoia, the camera may not be detected.

Important: This issue only affects cameras connected via the Network Adapter (H3BA). Cameras using the Huddly USB Adapter (model H3SA) are not impacted.

You can check which adapter you’re using by looking at the model number printed on the bottom of the adapter:

  • H3BA = Network Adapter
  • H3SA = USB Adapter

Although the Huddly Network Adapter appears in macOS, it is not passing data and cannot communicate with the camera.

Workaround: For now, the only available solutions are to:

  • Use the Huddly USB Adapter (H3SA), or
  • Downgrade to an earlier version of macOS Sequoia where the issue is not present, or
  • Upgrade to macOS Sequoia 15.6, currently in Beta.

Fix:

The compatibility issue has been resolved in macOS Sequoia 15.6, that currently is in Beta. As a temporary workaround, affected customers may consider installing the public beta to restore camera functionality.
