Huddly C1 Crew Network Switch requirements
The Huddly C1 Crew kit comes with a Netgear GS108PP Ethernet switch.
If you already own a Huddly C1 and want to add Crew cameras to your setup, you will need to source a switch separately.
Huddly primarily recommends the Netgear GS108PP for Huddly C1 Crew, the same switch included in the Huddly Crew and the Huddly C1 Crew kit. It has been tested and qualified for this application. While this is the only switch we officially recommend, customers may use a switch that meets the technical requirements described in this document.
If you choose to use your own network switch, we recommend the following network configuration:
- Placing the cameras on a private VLAN that is deployed only within the meeting room where Huddly C1 Crew is installed, especially if other equipment is connected to the same switch.
- Do not enable DHCP on this VLAN, as the cameras rely on Automatic Private IP Addressing (APIPA), for IP assignment.
Switch requirements
The network switch must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Gigabit Ethernet ports
- PoE (IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at) with minimum 15.4W per port
- A sufficient total PoE power budget for the deployment (minimum 30.8W for 2 cameras)
